I had a streak of posting for 14 consecutive days going before my schedule went bonkers and now I'm going to start another and try to break that one - it does require a lot of planning and lots and lots of time in the craft room. Most of the time is spent coming up with an idea and I find that many of my end results are no where near the original idea - lol. What that means is a lot of wasted supplies but its fun in the process to discover new ideas and they generally turn out better than the original thought.
Hopefully things are going to be a little more settled and I can start to tackle the list of projects I want to try. Today was a good day as I got a chance to start tidying up the room and get a bit organized. What really needs a lot of time is filing - whoever said that we were going to a paperless society with computers - it actually creates more paper! Well, I digress.
Here's a card that I came up with for Father's Day - I really love the different shades of grey that SU carries. Its a neutral colour that compliments the majority of the other shades in the colour families.
The card base is 4" x 4" in Going Grey, layered with Whisper White and Walk in the Park DSP. The sentiment is from Eight Great Greetings (Occasions Mini, #113822, $37.95) stamped in Basic Grey classic ink on Whisper White, layered on Real Red and then on Going Grey. This piece is placed over a length of Real Red 1" grosgrain layered over a strip of Going Grey card stock with dimensionals. Silver brads are placed on each side of the sentiment.
I like the clean lines of the card - nothing too fancy for some dads.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
