We held our techniques class yesterday and stamping was cool! Cool because we stamping in my studio which was so much cooler and taking a break from this mini heat wave and because we made some very cool cards and here's a couple of them.
We made this card with the Plaid Silhouette technique using the image from Just Believe. Isn't it lovely? During the class, we make a sample to go along with the instructions that are placed in a 6" x 6" Album. Some of the samples are smaller versions of the card that we will be making and other samples are used to show different colors and stamps.
The sample piece is about 2" x 3" so we made a sample with the elephant from Animal Stories. It was so cute that I made this card. I added one of the tiny pearls from the NEW Basic Pearls package to the eye of the elephant. The package has 150 pearls in threesizes, 5 mm, 3mm and 2mm for $6.50. You can see them on page 188 of the catalogue - they really are a must have.
Technique classes are held once a month at my studio and if you live in the Metro Vancouver area and would like to join us, please contact me for particulars. Our next class will be on Sunday, September 19.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
